Frequently asked questions
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be right for anyone at anytime. Some enter therapy to work through a specific problem or moment of distress, while others can be looking for more of a holistic based approach to improve general well-being. Whatever you are experiencing, it is important to find the “right fit” in a therapist- someone you feel comfortable with and you believe will offer you what you are looking for. We offer complementary 15 minute consultations to hear more about your story, and for you to ask us any questions about our therapeutic process.
Do you offer in person sessions?
Yes! We offer in person or virtual sessions depending on what is right for you. Our office is located in Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, closely accessible by many trains. Please reach out to us for more information on in person sessions.
Do you accept insurance?
We are in-network with Aetna plans and can work with clients based in New York state. Co-payment and benefits vary and will be confirmed prior to your first appointment.
We are out of network with all other insurance plans but will provide you with a superbill containing the necessary paperwork for reimbursement.
If you are out of network, or “out of pocket,” we encourage you to check with your insurance company on what your out of network benefits include. Some questions you may want to ask:
What is the out of network reimbursement rate for routine behavioral health services/ mental health services/ psychotherapy?
What is my out of network deductible, and how much of my deductible have I already met?
